Welcome to my blog. I have one simple aim. To expose the lies and distortions of the eurosceptic British press and total lack of debate about all things European Union related.
I am no blind follower or unquestioning advocate of the EU in its current form. I believe there is much room for reform. However, I am simply disgusted with the lack of debate and ridicule invented by lazy and downright hostile journalists, willing to sacrifice their own journalistic integrity in pursuit of their dubious political agendas.
Well, good luck. I'm not enamoured of the European project as it has evolved at all, but if you are genuine in wanting real debate and discussion, I think that's great. Most of the mainstream press are, as a general rule, desperate to earn their keep and cyncial because of their business or their bosses, but sometimes the distortions they produce are dangerous.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your wishes. I agree with you there is much that can be criticised. Genuine criticisms should be encouraged so debate can be had and they can be addressed and who knows - even remedied! But some of the tosh that is being thrown about by the lazy eurosceptic agenda does not advance even their own cause.
